Wash gently

What does that mean? You can wash your glasses in the dishwasher without fear of them turning grey, but you should always use the gentle programme and make sure that the glass cannot be mechanically damaged in the dishwasher. It is not recommended to wash thick-walled containers such as decanters in the dishwasher. For a perfect wash, just soak them in warm water with a little detergent.

Avoid large
temperature changes

Rapid changes of heat (warm water) and cold (cold water, ice) does not benefit the glass. Therefore, try not to expose glass or decanters to temperature fluctuations.

Avoid poor polishing of stemware

Never hold both the base and the bowl

at the same time, as excess twisting

or pressure can cause the stem to snap.
